Saw the Ms Singapore 2010 finalists on tiakhui's fb.nightmares.Apparently this is some sort of high fashion shoot using ah lian styles (the floral trend and the checkered trend, for the record I own neither of these type of clothes, no not even little miss dunnowhatfuck shirts) im not saying that they are ugly or anything, but I look at them and I just don’t think Singapore universe. They just look downright awkward. Very few people can pull off the sourpuss high fashion look, sometimes the X factor is something you are born with ( u know those people who can NEVER take a bad photo). If they cant carry off that type of beauty, then don’t force it. Honestly, I think it would look much nicer if they just sat in nice dresses and looked all smiley and pretty rather than doing poses imitating that of clothes hangers.
Someone who can be charming in person may not show it in photos.(speaking from experience,im extremely unphotogenic and vice versa. However I think marketing wise…it is very important for someone in the media industry to be photogenic and telegenic. In fact photogenic comes first because they need your photos to market the event to the mass crowd.
Somehow I think Ms Singapore just faded off the radar when it wasn’t shown on national television. Im ashamed that we are one of the countries who do that cos it just means we don’t celebrate feminine beauty ( and brains apparently but lets not get started on that) anymore. With Ris Low and bunches of other disgusting bimbos out there I can see why some people think we should just give Ms Singapore up.
Im so appalled and disgusted,I think I shall go vomit out my overpriced chicken rice later.SHEESH.
